Penyakit busuk pangkal batang (BPB) pada tanaman lada yang disebabkan cendawan Phytophthora capsici merupakan penyakit penting dapat menyebabkan kehilangan hasil hingga 15% per tahun. Pemanfaatan agens hayati alternatif pengendalian ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan penghambatan Gliocladium sp. terhadap P. secara in vitro serta mengetahui kemampuannya sebagai dekomposer. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode dual culture antara dengan capsici. Sementara itu, biokompos dibuat bahan dasar serbuk gergaji-dedak perbandingan 3:2 Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mampu menghambat pertumbuhan persentase tertinggi sebesar 54,89% setelah lima hari inokulasi.
